Sorauren Farmers' Market 3pm to 7pm

Printer-friendly view of this page.
Local - Sustainable - Fresh - Delicious

Our market is packed with vendors now, and we're getting close to the height of the harvest’s bounty—all kinds of heirloom variety tomatoes, beautiful zucchini and eggplants of all shades (and shapes) and sizes, cauliflower, broccoli, greens and sprouts, to name a few, as well as all the in season fruit - the last of the cherries, some wild blueberries, juicy plums, delicious apricots, and peaches (on the way), and of course, amazing baked and artisan goods.

New at the Market is Tenzin and his kids from Le Tibet! If you haven't tried a momo (tibetan dumplings) yet - you better come and get one soon!

We are also featuring a new Urban Agriculture table - featuring a rotation of three different operations growing fresh local veggies in the city. They are: FoodCycles (http://foodcycles.org) an exciting project focused on soil, compost, and great food located at Downsview Park - bringing great fresh veggies; the folks from the Sunshine Garden at CAMH (foodshare.net/garden07.htm) bringing veggies, herbs, and greens they grow just down Queen St; and Debbie Nolan will be back with backyard grown goodness from just down in South Etobicoke.
