Market Times

Visit the Sorauren Farmers' Market Monday
Stop by the Sorauren Field House on Monday and say hello. While you're at it be sure to pick up some goodies from our vendors. As always, they will be offering up a great selection of fresh produce, baked goods, naturally raised meats, prepared foods and more from 4pm -7pm.
Don't forget to check the sidebar of this newsletter for a list of the vendors that will be at the market this week.

Vendor Update
This week Field Sparrow Farm will have storage crop vegetables from a neighbouring farm available for sale alongside their naturally raised grass-fed beef.
Defloured will unfortunately not be joining us this week, but will return again next week with a delicious selection of gluten-free products.

The West End Food Co-op Brings Food Close to Home
The “Food Close to Home” campaign will provide materials and branding for the West End Food Co-op as it enters an important new marketing phase with the opening of its community-owned store. The project will develop materials that promote and celebrate local food producers and artisans, create venues for promotion through point of sale materials, outreach and educational opportunities, and will develop a long-term plan for the Co-op’s local food outreach and promotion. The project will include the creation of training materials for staff and volunteers at the Farmers’ Market and store, and will assist the Co-op in developing strong local supply chains and fostering loyalty to the local food supply in urban consumers.
