First Annual Ride for Real Food Rocks!
This past Sunday, a team of intrepid riders completed the first Ride for Real Food to raise money for the West End Food Co-op’s new community kitchen and food hub. It was a spectacular day, our marshals were there with water, snacks, directions and encouragement, and there was an amazing feast waiting at the end cooked in outdoor wood-fired ovens up at the Kortright Center, sweet songs and banjo from Jessica Moore, and a fabulous tour of Matchbox Gardens' Farm!

We raised almost $10,000 and are hatching plans for next year’s Ride already. If you were planning to donate and didn’t get to it, you can still pledge here.

A HUGE thanks goes out to the volunteers, riders, staff, EMTs from St. John Ambulance and the people who pledged to the riders to make this event a success!

Upcoming Co-op and other events
The Annual General Meeting is October 18th; location and details to follow soon; come out and meet your fellow members or join the co-op and become part of this exciting project!
