Educate and engage current and potential members in membership and participation.

Objective Actions
  1. Membership engagement strategy that includes promotion of awareness of each stakeholder group to each other.
  1. Foster stakeholder-specific engagement strategies including implementation and evaluation plan
  2. Develop a member recruitment strategy.
  1. Marketing strategy to build awareness about Co-op programs
  1. Collect data about the membership and Parkdale Community in order to create targeted programs, marketing initiatives and to inform purchasing.

 

Establish and maintain financial stability and work towards higher revenue generation.

  1. Optimized physical space and inventory placement
  1. Identify external assistance to assess use of physical space and placement of inventory.
  1. Replacement plan for fixtures and equipment
  1. Prepare an inventory of the store’s current leasehold fixtures including anticipated expiry.
  2. Prepare capital replacement plan including funding sources.
  1. Set up financial management system
  1. Create annual operational budget and expense tracking system for the organization.
  2. Develop operational budgets and expense tracking for every department based on the organizational budget.
  1. Updated business plan including plans for revenue neutrality
  1. Identify external assistance to develop a business plan.
  1. Identify our legal position vis a vis our bonds and develop a strategy to manage bonds
  1. Get legal opinion on our obligations to outstanding bondholders.

Formalize WEFC governance and operations in line with its mission, vision, and values.

Establish a sound HR management system.
